If this is the first time you are seeing a therapist, we often don't know what to do or what to expect.

That is understandable, and some anxiety or nervousness is really normal. You are going into a new experience! 

If you've seen a therapist before, meeting someone new can bring up some anxiety too.  

To help, Here is what you can expect when you contact us:

When I first hear from you through the contact page, I will be in touch to arrange to speak by phone for a free 15-minute consultation, This initial call allow me to learn a little more about you, and for you to see if I am a good fit for you.

During our call we will schedule our first appointment, and answer any initial questions you might have (you might also check out Common Questions about Therapy here)

I will send you a link to my client portal, which is a super easy and slick way to complete some paperwork. No printing required!

You'll get an appointment confirmation and we will be all set!

Our initial session (60 minutes) is a chance for me to learn more about what brings you to therapy, and to share with me what you would like to work on together.

We will determine how frequently you would like to meet (typically once a week) and how we will determine when your goals for therapy have been met.

You have already done the hardest part -- committing to yourself and asking for support!
